Malawi: Supporting smallholder farmers achieve food security

According to the Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Water Development of Malawi, supporting smallholder farmers in the country is the only way to move forward to achieve food security in the country. He announced that the Malawian government is implementing a Farm Input Subsidy Programme (FISP), wherein smallholder farmers would be getting fertilizers and other farm equipment for free.
