Microfinance provider Kiva gets US$3 million grant, aims to tackle microfinance 2.0

Kiva recently received the Google Global Impact Award of US$ 3 million. This money will be used to test out Kiva’s future microlending strategies, which, in the words of Premal Shah, Kiva President and co-founder, is an attempt to “find the sweet spot where flexible cash is both high impact and market viable”.
