Mining by-product capable of cleaning water

According to scientists from the US Geological Survey Leetown Science Centre, a byproduct from the treatment of acid mine drainage may have a second life in cleaning waters coming from agricultural and wastewater discharges. This has been published in a report called Water, Air and Soil Pollution (read here) will provide an extra supply of water which would otherwise have been wasted. Read more here.
