Mozambican farmers fearful of land grabs

Farmer unions in Mozambique are extremely concerned about the fact that the government is leasing land out to foreign agribusinesses, thereby displacing thousands of millions of people who lack official deeds of the land they lived and depended on. According to the UNAC, official figures claim that there is a large chunk of land unused in the country to attract foreign investors, while this is in fact, not true. Read more here.
