Myanmar’s reform not encouraging enough for farmers in countrysides

Myanmar was once the largest exporter of rice, and its lands are still one of the most fertile in the world. However, about half a century under the military rule, the farmers have no savings, their farms and farm produce, even at the highest of their productivity incur a loss for them, due to low prices given for rice.
