Neglect of Telemedicine in India

The fact that even the numerous primary health centres in rural and semi urban areas are grossly inadequate in catering to the growing number of patients often in the furthest of rural corners, made the government of India launch a telemedicine project nearly a decade ago. The Parliamentary Committee on health, in its recent report, has criticized the extremely slow pace of progress in implementation of the project. Read more here.
