Nigeria: Nutrition lacks government budget

In an address marking World Breastfeeding Week, Health Minister OnyebuchiChukwu responded to the persistent but underestimated threat of malnutrition in the country’s people by asking policy makers in federal, state and council governments to open a budget line for nutrition as part of their capital expenditures. Such support is to realize the MDGs through such ‘high-impact, low-cost’ interventions. Read more here.
