Nigerians transacted NGN 228 million via mobile banking in 2012

According to a document released by the Ministry of Communications Technology, the total amount transacted by Nigerians using mobile money in the last 12 months, amounted to NGN 228 million. Moreover, the number of verified mobile money agents, currently at 3000 is expected to rise to 50,000 by 2015. Read more here.
