Telenor Pakistan, and Tameer Microfinance Bank have signed an MoU with the PPAF, or the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund to introduce a number of ‘Easypaisa’ shops which will streamline the use of mobile money for the poor, for the purposes of money transfers, international home transfers and more. This project will first be piloted for the communities in Balochistan, Sindh, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Skardu (Gilgit-Baltistan), Punjab and Chirah (Islamabad Capital Territory). Read more here.
