School meals as good for children as for smallholder farmers?
A new UK/US led initiative called the International School Meals Day plans to raise awareness about how children who do not eat, do not learn. A direct consequence of this is to ensure that children in developing countries have enough to eat. This has led to a new African-led initiative which sources food from local farmers for children in schools. Read more here.
