SIBs – ‘Being good pays’

Social Impact Bonds or SIBs were originally made use of in 2010 in Britain’s Peterborough prison. SIBs pay for programmes that try to cut re-incarceration rate among young miscreants at a zero initial cost to tax payers – in a pay-for-success kind of a model. Its first example in the US is being invested in by Goldman Sachs. Read more here.
