Uganda leads the way to opening up carbon finance for suppliers of clean cookstoves in Africa
The Uganda Bureau of Carbon (UBC) will now have a separate programme called ICSEA (Improved Cook Stoves for East Africa) which will make things easy for organizations in Africa supplying clean cookstoves. It currently covers Uganda, Burundi, Rwanda, Kenya, and will soon be extended out to South Africa and Lesotho as well. Read more here.
