UK launches £2 million emergency plan to tackle cholera in Sierra Leone

Ministers in UK have launched a £2 million emergency fund to help Sierra Leone with its cholera epidemic, which has already claimed the lives of more than 200 people, and infected 12000 more, with number of infections rising beyond 250 per day (read here). Department for International Development will tap into the existing network of private businesses and aid organizations to deliver emergency water and sanitation and medical aid. Read more here.
