UN: How solar lighting can help poor countries recover costs

According to UN’s environmental agency, UNEP (United Nations Environment Programme), countries which switch from lamps, candles and flashlights to solar alternatives usually recover the cost associated in about a year. Assessments in 80 countries were instrumental in arriving at this conclusion, depending on the local costs of LED systems and kerosene. Read more here.
